The amount of money has reached the point that one can only conclude that Division 1 football and men's basketball are the primary farm teams for the NFL and NBA.

In fact, job security for a Division 1 football or men's basketball coach who has a winning record, bowl appearances, a trip to March Madness, but a paltry graduation rate is greater than for the coach who graduates his players but does not have an outstanding winning percentage.
